The Elders of JCAC

Tim

Tim is our newly-elected elder, but he’s not new to JCAC! In fact, Tim may be the longest-attending member of JCAC, as he first attended in 1979. At that time, JCAC was meeting in the Johnson City Recreation Center. Since being at JCAC, he has been a youth / Bible quizzing leader, Sunday School teacher and deacon.

Tim moved to the Tri-Cities from Atlanta, GA and worked at Eastman Chemical for many years. He now works at the Veterans Administration in Johnson City.

Tim committed his life to the Lord following his senior year in high school. God showed him that the love, joy and peace he desired would not come from earthly “fun” or achievements, but from the Holy Spirit.

After moving to Kingsport, God blessed Tim with his wife Grace (they met at JCAC), and four children, April, Alyssa, Michael and Rachel.

Tim’s interests include Bible Study, sports, reading, and at work, Excel spreadsheets. Grace loves God’s beauty displayed in the outdoors and also enjoys gardening and reading. Tim and Grace love spending time with their family.

Favorite Bible Verse: “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.”— Matthew 13:44
